anyone have info on how to make pierce points.
I believe the use of a finger joint shaper bit is involved in the formation of a blank that is then cut to expose the "pierce point" design.
Brandan Stahl did a great tutorial on making Pierce points. I cant find in on the net anymore. its basically joining two pieces of contrasting woods with a tall finger joint on a diagonal. I am missing soemthing else in the equasion but cant remember what it is. i have been wanting to try it for a duck call. Maybe we can talk Brandon into posting the tutorial again.

Thats the pictoral i was hoping you would share. Thanks so much Brandon. What a great learning tool you have provided us with. Not to mention great tallent.
I am still saving for one of your Puma Hunters with pierce points and a straight accent. I show the pictures to the wife almost every week. She didnt get the hint for this Christmas.
Thank you for taking the time to do this Brandon!
I understood how to do this before, but every time I've tried to explain it to someone, they don't understand how you get some of the points to show and some don't. It's all in how it's glued up. The points are naturally exposed when the riser is shaped.
Brandon, Thanks for taking the time......another one to save and put on a cd for keepsakes!!!
Thanks Brandon!!!!
Does anybody have these images saved? I am wanting to do a build and would really like to incorporate the use of pierce points. contact me on here or e-mail me
Thanks,
Jon
I've had Lenny (Pierce) describe it inj great detail, but can't remember. I'll talk to him and see if I can relay it.
Thank you! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
