Title: So I got this old coin
Post by: Earl E. Nov...mber on March 18, 2012, 08:45:00 PM
With the imprint of a bear with some pine trees in back..

It looks to be made of brass but looking a bit closer it is obviously copper with brass plating..

Were all the coins copper with plating?

If so can you strip the brass and have a copper coin?

Sounds like the 3r coin, I did not think it was copper under the brass plating, doing that would not be very cost effective.
Does it have a rounded shoulder or a flat back on the Bear?

Can you post a picture? the originals and the ones I sell are solid Copper, Aluminum or Silver.

Cheers Kurt

I think if there was a copper coin under the brass people would have figured out how to remove the brass years ago!    :bigsmyl:
