Post by: pappy on March 06, 2012, 10:17:00 AM
I have a good friend that found one of these at a yard sale, looks to be in good shape except for the string, needs one. It says on it #1140 I think that is the number and has Byron's signature on it.It is 68amo 50@28 and has Woodsman Hunter and hand made written on the belly.Any one have any idea how old this is or what it is worth,He didn't give much for it I am sure ,I really don't know much about glass bows, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would contact Byron himself. Byron is a great guy and he would be your best source of information. My nephew bought a woodsman used a couple years ago. We brought the bow to a show Byron was at and he seemed happy to talk about the bow. Byron has a website with his contact info. By the way, you can tell your friend he is very lucky, the woodsman is a very nice bow and congrats on the find!

P.S. If your friend decides he would like to sell the bow, I would be very interested. Thanks.

Those bows usually go for around $250 on auction.

Pappy, maybe Byron will show up at the Classic, he was there two years ago.
