I'm wondering about Grant Young.....maybe I've missed something along the way since I've been out the loop for awhile myself.
I've PM'ed and emailed him with no replies.
I pray that this post doesn't lend itself to bad news.

Hey Felix,
Grant and I exchanged emails regularly for several years, but I haven't heard from him in over a year now......I'm worried guys.

Yes Billy,he was here everyday, then he told me he had to quit a little bit for work reason,I think to have seen him on here a month ago.Maybe Bowdoc has more news.Grant is a good one,for sure i miss his long mail about the TDs!

A search showed his last post on here was January, 2011...one year ago.
His last post on *********** was April, 2011.

Hey guys,
You had me worried about Grant so I gave him a call just now to check on him.
He is alive and kicking and says he'll get on here soon and say hello!
I won't speak for him, but I know, as much as we hate when it happens, that sometimes life gets in the way of archery. Yup, it's hard to believe until it happens, LOL.
By the way, he was really touched that we give a darn:)
Thanks for causing me to get in touch with an old friend again! We had a good chat and I can always learn from Grant's wisdom.
Cheers,
Bernie

Bernie,
Thanks for the update and stepping up to the plate and calling him.I haven't had any dealings with Grant but have always enjoyed what he has had to say.
-
Great guy, hope all is well with him.
-
That is great news Bernie. Thanks for giving him a call.
Grant was always so good at staying in touch. It really had me worried that he hadn't replied to emails or pm's, or posted on any of the forums.
I hope he gets active again on here. Grant is a warehouse of information, and a purdy good guy to boot.....you kinda start missing those folks when they're away from the computer.
-
Hope to see you back regularly Grant! :wavey:

This is a shock. I had no idea Grant was in ill health. I had the privilege of sharing a couple hunts with him and tracking a bear he shot with my dog Suzy. Grant was a wealth of information on anything about Fred Bear. Rest in peace Grant.

Sad news. I knew when I last spoke with him something was wrong, but he never said anything about it. He was a good friend who will be missed. Condolences to his family.
Rest in Peace, "Rico"...

Bowdoc told me Grant had suffered quite a long time with liver cancer and he had handled his situation with dignity and bravery. I'm sure his family appreciates all these kind comments from this Tradgang family.
-
Grant was kind enough to banter with me on both sites about Bear stuff and an excellent person and hunter.
Prayers going out, even at this late date with my thanks, Grant.......for your time and fellowship.
God Bless

Grant will be missed quite the Southern Gentleman.I was fortunate to have spent time in Quebec Bear camp as well as Hog Hunting in Texas ones that will be with me always.Even my wife enjoyed talking to him on the phone when he called to chat.
-
wow, quite a shock. Had enjoyed visiting with Grant by PM and at "Change-off" in La Tuque.

This news shocked and saddened me very much. I really enjoyed our emails and talks on the phone. I never met him in person but spent many hours talking to him about Fred and Bear bows. He was a wealth of knowledge and a fine man. I considered him a friend.
