Beautiful Grain, Excellent Condition, Next to Perfect Weight, No Plus Stamp, One of the if not the best performing of the Kodiaks.

That is alot of cash, but I have seen others bring that much and more. Right Doc?

I bought the lefty 64 Kodiak  from this sight  classifieds two weeks ago..it is a beauty...would like another a little heavier..this one is marked 48# but is actually 49 # ...I would love a #60 lefty but never have seen one..( I draw to about 26" so #60 at 28" puts it about 54# for my  26" draw which would be perfect........this 64 I have now is about 44# at 26 " but I love it..

That bow will stand shoulder to shoulder with any bow in the same weight and length.

The 1964 Kodiak is one of, if not the best shooting Kodiak I ever shot.

That particular bow has some amazing wood and it's condition is fantastic.

Congratulations to the new owner!  :clapper:

Well, I've got to admit that's the best grain I've seen in '64.  I've kept a 55 pounder that's really highly figured, but I have to admit that his is prettier. I wouldn't sell mine for that price, though, and mine has two(brass)filled holes!  I would agree with the others...the '64 stands up with any Bear bow(though I like some of the earlier Bear's styling better).

If that bow is truly as pictured, I'd say the buyer made a fine decision.

That one was very, very nice!  Of course, I tell myself that I can't buy them all (and sometimes it works!).

Sweet 64K.

Don - what's up with that one?  At first I thought the camera color was off, especially on the limb color.......then again!!!

Saw that come up and knowing the rep of them and then seeing the NICE photos (always helps) and the grain........I didnt even bother to put it on my watch list LOL.

I did NOT expect it to go double my 59K though.

Obviously a prime one that someone didnt have yet or just has the yen for a super good one.

I've not shot a 64, but had 65s and 66s. If they shoot THAT much better than my 59....I dont want to either LOL.

Sweet bow. Congrats to the new owner.
God Bless

Don and Tony, I noticed that one too.  It might be one of those that a buyer gets taken for a ride on.  Buying on there can be such an adventure.  I'll let you know when I see it  ;)

That bow belonged to me and it is as sweet as it looks, great shooting bow. I too was a little surprized it brought that much money but it is the nicest 1964 I have ever saw. Babinga is usally straight grained and this one has stunning grain and in excellent condition. I am thinning the bow collection or it would have never left. Ron.

Congrats on the great sale Ron. I am sure that one was hard to let go of though! Hopefully the price helped ease the pain though!

They're great shooting bows,,I've owned four my last one being the one that just sold,(I traded Ron for a '59,,Thanks Again!!!) but for some reason they don't shoot well for me nor do the '66K's,,so I'm stuck shooting '59's. BTW very nice Phillip.
