I have an early 70's Bear Mag Flocked riser. I have abused it over the years and would like to have it refinished, can someone tell me if this can be done and if so who does it. Thanks RW.

I don't know about the flocked finish, but it can be stripped down and painted. A lot of people give the risers a camo dipped finish which is really nice.

I believe John Sullins from Alabama has experience with this, and it's very nice.
He is on tradgang as "Cherokee Scout".

If you're just wanting a new finish, I've read on here somewhere about having them sandblasted and either powdercoated or spray-bombed. The pictures of each looked great.

Thanks everyone, especially Chuck. Don't know how I missed that thread, but thats exactly what I'm looking for. Will give Jim a call and see what he can do. RW

I did not respond because of the specifics of "reflocking" ...refinishing with paint is all I have done . Fun and easy ....love the Mags...perfect canvas for a do-it -yourself restore or put your own little touches on 'em

That was my referance for your re-do Chad. That cool paint job you did. So we have Re-flock or re-paint. Lots of options.
