I bought a Kodiak Magnum at a yard sale yesterday. from reading prevous posts I believe it to be from 1977 or 78. It is 52" 45#,green wood riser with white phenolic overlay, green glass, raised silver colored coin green limb tips.the lower decal says "Bear Archery on the top and Grayling Michigan on the bottom has US patent # only (no Canadian #). Serail #KU07924. Can anyone help me confirm the year it was made?
Thanks,
Buck

If it has white overlay, then it would be 73 to 75.thats the best you can narrow it down to.

As Big Bird states, I believe they went to green/blue overlays in 1976.
My wife's "greenie" K-mag with the white overlays is her favorite.

Thanks guys, I really apreciate the info

Thanks from me too! I've got K Mag KU70652 green with white. I've always wondered what timeframe it was made, and can't make sense out of the "how to date your Bear bow" articles. They seem to concentrate more on the older Kodiaks. This is my first year carrying it afield, and it is a pure joy to carry and use.

This is a late Grayling bow, what year did the Gainsville bows start?

1978 I believe
