Hello everyone,
I picked up this early Howatt Eldorado Palomar and was hoping that someone may be able to help date it and perhaps identify the bowyer.
The reddish back glass is woven, the belly glass is not. Stamped 34# with a #1 below it with EDP940 hand written above that. It measures 65 1/2" groove to groove along the unstrung belly.
Thank you!
Brad

good god all friday thats a dandy looker I love that model they are real beauties.I believe that about a 1959 and if you would be so kind as to show a pic of the tips ? that would help ID the bowyer. But I gotta say it was built by Damon Howatt himself in around 1959-1960 DH's bowyer number was number 1.real sweet looking bow bd

Thanks bowdoc! I'll try not to get my hopes up until you see the tips. I was hoping the 1 meant that Damon built it when I bought it... There aren't any overlays on the back of the tips, only on the belly. Are they called underlays?
Thanks again,
Brad
