good heavens.....or am I off my rocker?
I just cannot imagine this showing up in "the auction" wow....Id have bet money something like this would have automatic buyers from friends of the owner.
Too rich for my blood but what a conversation piece!!
Id HAVE TO shoot it a bit!

I think the owner is named Len? my understanding is his collection was built at the high point of bow prices, and he has a huge amount of archery gear, he has been selling amazing bows for years
-
The seller's name is Kevin and, I think, his father owned Frontier Archery in Sacramento, CA. So, he comes from an archery & bowhunting heritage and probably has a significant collection and some significant history to share.
Kevin, are you a TradGanger? If so, I would enjoy reading what you can share with the rest of us!

You'd have a tough time shooting it. The handle isn't included.

Hi Ray
Is that the same Sacramento collector (or his family)the one I was thinking of used to list a lot of bows on ****?
-
Shows my ignorance, Reddogge. Maybe someone should ask why it isnt?

Kurt, I suspect that the answer to your last question is, "Yes.". But, I seem to recall that there was someone else from that area (maybe into the foothills) who also used to list a lot of archery stuff.

Sweet, What a cool bow.

Like that barreled shaft and the small brush rest. Designed for performance and cast. I would have loved to see that one in action!
-
Don't feel bad. I asked the same question on another forum and was told the handles were shooter proprietary so the shooter would switch the handle between different bows.
-
My friend used to shoot with Harry. If I remember right, they would use Pepsodent toothbrushes to make the rests. They were the best for flight shooting.

Numpls you are exactly correct it is Kevin and Frontier Archery was his father's business. He regularly lists old copies of "Archery Magazine". What a remarkable auction find.
-
That distance shot with this bow is almost double my best so far. I would love to go to Utah some September and see how the big boys roll.

Kurt there were a couple people selling a while back that had a ton of stuff from Malibu Archery ? I bought several catalogs plus a couple bows off them ???? bd
