Title: Brace height for 1968 Super Mag
Post by: Huntschool on March 26, 2011, 02:11:00 PM
Well guys I found one and bought it.  Needs a bit of a visit to Joe's place but its good.

I need to know the suggested brace height with stock string....

Anyone remember or know.  Too long ago for me and I can not find my records from 40+ years ago.

I have pics up over on Pow Wow

I just sold my '68 SuperMag and it liked braced at 8 5/8" with a 14-strand Flemish twist

OK... thanks guys.

This is an org. string I think.  Its in good shape but I am going to order a couple of new Flemish strings.  I have had it strung for a full 24 hours and shot about 100 arrows out of it and it is still at 9" at the throat of the grip.

8 1/2-9" is about right. You might get away with a little less, but mine shoot pretty well in that range.

Bruce.. you dog.  I thought you only shot LBs made in Nixa.  Nice addition to the collection though.
