Title: Hill arrow

I have 3 arrows that belonged to Howard Hill. One of them is signed by him. They have been authenticated by Craig Ekin.

Randy, if you are an arrow collector I know where there are a half dozen bearglas arrows with green razorheads.

Am curious which of the three arrows shown has Howard's signature on it?

Are you implying that all three are personal arrows of Howard Hill?

Obviously the top arrow is longer than the other two. What length are they, BOP measurement?

Nice Arrows! I hope some of the serious broadhead collector's come on here. It would be great to see their in depth  historical perspective on the different arrows and broadheads.

top arrow sure does look like one of double H's heads and the arrow looks long enough.the middle one looks like maybe a pre. HH type head with bullet ferrule kind of short for double HH though.but the 3rd arrow ?????? bd

I know Howard liked to white cap dip his arrows and also tapered them so either of the top two could be his. Obviously the length of those two differ(top one is approx 2" longer than middle one) so until we get a measurement we won't know for sure. Howard was very precise in his broadhead arrow length.

Definitely the bottom one does not look like anything of HH's but then we don't know how old that head is, either. Could be pre-Hill broadheads. The bottom two arrows are approx the same length.

If the length of the broadhead of the middle arrow is 3" then that arrow is very close to 27.75" BOP.

Suspect that most of the bottom arrows fletching has been lost over the years but if one just looks at the style of the rest os shaft it is very simialr to the arrow Hill used in taking a bobcat in the Florida Everglades in 1928, page 81 of Hunting the Hard Way. Of course, in this picture we can not see what the broadhead looks like but in 1928 it defintely was long before the Hill broadheads.

If that is the case, then both the bottom arrows could be HH's because they are the same length. But then again back in 1928 Howard may not have been so precise with is arrow lengths.

Here are a few photos of an arrow shot by Howard in the late 1950's Arrow came from Howard's arrow box... Also have an early handmade arrow by Howard that my grandpa got in 1947 After Howard put on an archery demo at his High School will get pics as soon as I can..
