This is a bow I have just finished it is natural bamboo under clear glass with oak and walnut in the riser and a walnut overlay on front. Usually when I go with natural bamboo I use black glass because I never considered it a really pretty wood but I have had several people say they like it under clear glass. I was just wondering what most people thought about it under clear. Thanks

Cool! that is Nice!

Clear glass on any bow in my book. Black glass is not much to look at. The Boo looks great. Exellent work!!

Thanks for the input, it does kind of grow on you.

That is a sweet looking bow. You made the right choice.

Why is the grip and shelf up-side-down? :) Looks real nice.

I think the contrast is nice. That boo will slowly take on a nice color as it gets older and a little sun.
-
That is why I like this site I am always learning something, I didn't know the bamboo would darken with age and sun, under glass thanks chortdraw. I sure appreciate all the responses.

I think it looks a lot better under clear than it would under black. Not the most 'look at me' wood(or grass) on the planet but it's pretty nontheless. I like the way the nodes look. Like your tip overlays too!

I use a lot of actionboo under clear. You can stain it any color to match the riser or another color for contrast. And it is so smooth.

Pretty, I love bamboo bows.

Very nice!I'm like some of the others, love it clear better than black any day,but I do have a thing for bamboo......

I like the natural look with the nodes stained or darkened.
