Title: Need help with opinions on new custom!
Post by: Apex Predator on December 11, 2007, 09:45:00 AM
I have a Ghost now that I love. The best I've ever shot to date! I am going to order a "custom built for me" bow soon. I have it pretty much narrowed down to a Kohannah Kurve, Kota Kill-um, or Mahaska recurve. A new Ghost is out of my price range. These are all around $500. What do you folks think?

If you have something you really like and works for you now. Why not just save a while longer and order what you really want instead of just ordering a "custom" that will do.

I see your point.  I love my Ghost, and I guess I implied that I wanted another one.  The journey for me is about trying something new as well.  I know what I like, and just want to try something similar, but different. When I  really think about it, it would be boring to have two identical bows.

My train of thought is you buy used try stuff out and order the custom exactly how you want it when you find a bow that works. Then you sell the used ones to help finance the true keeper.

Let me throw one more in the mix Whisperstik bows, they are great shooter, quiet and very good craftmanship and for $500 ya can get something real nice. Shawn
