Has anyone seen the new Bear lineup of bows? Sweet looking Super Kodiak with grayling green glass. cut the price of the Takedown, and offering lower poundages again and more L/H models.
-
Yep' checked em out on there website I am really liking the takedown. I'm going to start saving starting right nowwww!!!
-
I am pretty excited about the reintroduced Super Grizzly. Looks like my next bow purchase to me.
-
I like the looks of the Ausable longbow.
-
There's already a lengthy discussion here:

Love that they have bows with the lower poundage! About time!
-
With classic designs and new (old school) wood, I'll bet bear retakes the lead in mass produced trad bows. At least I hope so, as they are made in the USA.

Heres a pic of a few of the new K Mags and Super K's still in the finishing process. I'll get some better ones up later for those interested.
Thats the new AuSable longbow up front.

I think I've got to have one of those new Super K's with the green glass and Bubinga. :jumper:
How's the grip? I hated the grip on the last new Gainesville Super K I picked up.
-
I been checking my mail everyday and I have recieved several bows for work but no Bear samples as yet bd
-
If anyone should get a sample it should be you Doc. .........KY

Has anyone got an out the door price for a Super K, or does anyone know where it might be from the MSRP price on the website?
-
C. Kerley, the site says the new Super K is 499.99 to 599.99. I presume the throw back Bubiga model is the $599.99 one.

Where can I find the new takedown? None of the local suppliers have them. Sure would like to shoot one. I already have a 72 Super K and a early Grizzly. What should a guy with a 29" draw order for limbs and riser? B with #1 limbs , B with #3 limbs? A riser with the #1 or #3 limbs?
-
Ronyag, as far as the takedown , you just have to try and see what fits you best. My guess is that the longer limbs would feel better for you but some guys don't want a 62 or 64" bow to hunt with . I prefer a smaller riser and change the limbs ...the B riser feels too big ...but that's me.As far as acquiring one...your guess is as good as mine. call arownd...maybe 3 rivers?
-
I guess they'll arrive for XMas or new year when they print the new catalog.
-
Ronyag- I shoot B risers and number one limbs and I have a 29' draw. Its the setup I've used for over thirty years and I've never had a finger pinch or stacking issue. GY

hummmmmmmm from the looks of the new T/D's for some odd reason they look to me the same as the newer black and tan looking A's and or B's the only thing that looks different to me is the color of the wood ???????? bd
-
Hey Grant, does that give you a 60" bow?...and was that Fred's setup?
Someone wrote on another site that the new Bear bows would not be available until next year. Anyway, it's good to see the boys down in Florida seem to be listening to what we like and want.
I know folks want a re-issue of the 59-60 Kodiaks or some of the other classics. I would love an all phenolic super kodiak, so maybe they will issue one in 2017 for the 50th anniversary, huh?
BTW, it looks like Martin has improved their lineup for this year too...very nice!
-
Doc, other than the one made for the catalog pic there hasn't been any T/D's produced as of yet.
It's hard to judge the new bows by the catalog pics because there has been some changes since those pics were taken such as the Dymond wood riser wood in the Super K and Kodiak Mag which is now Bubiga. I know the The T/D limbs will be a bit more narrow with smaller better shaped tips than before, I'll keep my eyes open for a riser and let you know how the compare to the Black and Tans..
