Just wondered what year they put this tag on Bear Kodiaks, It Says: In keeping with the Bear policy of product improvement when better materials and techniques become available, Our bows are now made with fiberglass facing and backing. Thorough tests indicate smoother shooting. Still better cast and longer life as a result of this exclusive Bear development

I seem to remember seeing that sticker on another static tip Bear Kodiak bow made around 1951 or 1952
-
Ive got that sticker on a couple statics of those same years too.
I'm assuming it marks the change from alumilam to glass limbs
-
It could also indicate the change from the woven glass back and wood belly to the uni-directional glass on both back and belly as found on the 1952 Koidak.
-
So is there a difference between the 1951 and 1952? This one has the yellowish glass on back and belly
-
Yes, I'll bet your right on the uni-directional glass too John.
Yep, yellow glass makes it a '52
