Title: Made a back quiver
Post by: snag on January 29, 2007, 11:58:00 AM
I was inspired again by one of the many skilled craftsman that post pics of their work. The problem with backquivers, for me, is that they don't fit and stay on my body. I don't care for the second strap that some use to hold the quiver in place. So, I made the strap curved to go around my neck and shoulder allowing the quiver to stay in the right position better. It seems to work pretty good and it allows me to be able to get to the arrows better. It isn't a masterpiece, more like a prototype for things to come I think. I also like the way the quiver curves to my back. I would like to claim I made it that way, but it was one of those unplanned successes. It appears by cinching down on strapping that combines the seam it naturally pulled that side together more thus making a nice curve....that fits my back/shoulder area. Learned something there. I don't know if I will hunt with it. I will use it for 3D shoots and see how I like it.  (http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i100/snag32/DSC00083.jpg)
