Title: I had a Flood last night, I need some help
Post by: Mike Vines on September 07, 2010, 11:33:00 AM
I woke up this morning to go to work, and walked into the kitchen to let the dog out, and that's when I found out that my water line leading to the fridge broke last night, flooding the kitchen and basement, and worst part of them all is that my archery room is below the kitchen.  I am now the proud owner of a February 1964 (20th Anniversary edition) of Archery magazine that is soaked to the core.  It was in mint condition when I took it out last night so I wouldn't forget to take it to our next MLA meeting.  Some times I wonder why I try to think ahead.

The magazine a couple years ago was worth $200, I'm wondering for insurance purposes if the value has gone up or down in the last couple years.  I want to be honest and fair when I meet the insurance agent, and I have no clue what this is worth.

I lost tons of sand paper and saw blades in the ordeal too, and even had quite a few shafts get water stains on them.  Oh well, I guess that is whythey make insurance.

Are you sure on that value? I sold the whole year(12 issues) recently for less than half that amount.

That what I was was told by Jim Jones Of FireFly bows when he gave it to me.

That was the 2003 price.  I know prices have come down, but I'm wondering just how much?
