I have been looking for one of these bows for a couple years now and was offered this one down at ATAR this past July. I received it today, very promptly strung her up, checked the brace height......nocking point height and headed to a local club that I belong to to bend her limbs.
To say that I am happy with the way the bow shoots or looks would be the "understatement" of the century. I am plumb tickled pink !!!
There are a few nicks and scratches on it, but nothing to serious.....I might perhaps in the future give her a day in the spa of one of our fine bow refinishers here.......BUT.......for now, she is gonna be shot and hunted with this fall. I can shoot this bow, right out the gate as well as any bow that I have or have ever owned. I think she likes me.......and the feeling is definitely "mutual".
Here are a few pics

Don't refinish it. It's in excellent condition as is. Just get some Scratch Off and polish it.

hootie c,
This one REALLY likes my 35/55 Gold Tip Trads with 50 grains of brass up front and either 125 or 145 grain tips.
This thing dang near shoots itself. It will definitely see the "white-tail woods" this fall. I'm really wanting to make my first kill with it.

Jack.....
Oh Yeah !!!!!!! It spoke very loud and clear, I think it was talking as I unwrapped it from the box. The shooting was just the "icing on the cake".

Don-
That bow doesn't need refinishing-especially if it is to be a hunting bow. Keep it as is and shoot the hell out of her. Thats a pretty one for sure. you've started the trail of no return-haha!

Nice find,,I picked one up a couple of years ago from bearbowman 45#'s also,,one of the most smooth drawing bows I've owned and I know what you mean about shooting it well right off the bat,,again nice find and good luck with it this year,,
