I have two vintage Bear bows on their way to me this week. The 1960 Kodiak Special is the bow that I am hoping to make my first traditional kill with this fall. It is 64" and 45# @ 28". I am going to need some kind of "limb sleeves" to cover the white or gray limbs on the bow. Any suggestions as to where I can acquire some of these ???
Also......does anyone know the suggested brace height for this bow ???
Thanks in advance.............
Oh, and the second bow is a 1970 Kodiak Hunter that is 60" and is also 45# @ 28". The limbs on this one are green so I should be good to go.
Once again........does anyone know the suggested brace height for this one ???

Don,
Try the vicinity of 8-81/4" for the brace on both and work up or down to find the sweet spot. My bears all wear the string in that range, give or take a twist.
Good luck this fall.

Thanks Tom !!!!!!!
You know, it's kinda YOUR fault that I have "developed" this interest in the older bows.
Yeah......that's it, I've gotta have someone to put the blame on. :notworthy: :campfire: :archer2:
Best of luck to you also.

Don,
If you need to blame me thats fine, think my shoulders will bear up for another week or so. Enjoy and let me know how they work out for you.
