Title: refurbishing bows

After taking off all of the original shelac or finish, is it in any way harmful to finish restoration w/Tung oil?  I prefer a matte finish over glossy.

should be no problem Paul just make sure and let each coat dry good before appling the next I like about 24 hours between applacations bd
