I am trying to find out what this wood is.
Any help would be great.

All the colts I have seen were made out of olla wood. But that looks different from any colt I've seen.

I thought it might be Oak but not sure. I picked it up at a yard sale 20 years ago. Never seen another one like it.

It does look like oak. That is the first one like that I've seen. I have had a few colts over the years. Usually if it is white glass, the poundage is less than 40#.

That is about the right value. Those bows shoot real good. Good to hold on to for a wife or a kid to shoot.

I am keeping this one for when I get old[er] and can't pull a 50 lb anymore. It does shoot real good.
