Here's a not so great picture of all but two of my Bear bows. Missing are my 1959 Kodiak Special - which is upstairs as I am shooting it daily, and a Bear Truth 2 compound I dare even mention here.
Don't worry about the pipes behind them. They are dry. No hot or cold water there. There's some work going on in the basement so hopefully this arrangement is all temporary.

Nice set of Bears
7th from the left...is that a Dogleg Grizzly?
-
Very Nice.
-
Thats a good looking stable.
I see some zebrawood hanging there.
Just say you shoot the Bear Truth instinctive :p
-
Thank you all for the compliments.
7th from the left is a 48# Dogleg Grizzly. It has a wounded tip at the moment, but that will be corrected in due time. It has a very nice riser.
There are 2 1962 Grizzlys in there with very different examples of zebrawood. Both are great examples, but on opposite ends of the zebrawood spectrum. The 1964 Grizzly is a wonderful piece of zebrawood and at 51#'s she hums.
There are 9 Grizzly's, 2 Alaskans, 2 Cubs, and one Kodiak Magnum in the picture. Obviously, I do tend to like the "working man's" bows.
-
I should note the greenie K-Mag is my wife's. I was thinking of parting with it when she informed me that I can't sell her bow! I just love the fact she enjoys them too.
We share the 1965 Cub. It's a tremendous shooter at 41#s. Fast, flat cast for the weight.
-
I am not tha knowlegable of the Grizzlys, but I thought the Dogleg Grizzleys were hard rock Maple.
I did not know some were made with Bubinga.
LOOKS REALLY NICE.
It does not look like a "set of Bears"...looks more like a
"Den of Bears"

Nice, I always enjoy seeing collections from other TradGangers. Due to a current lack of space I have bows stored in a closet and on a shelf in the garage. This inspires me to get them out and take a LOOK. Thanks for the Pic!!

very nice.

Nice!!
-
Colin,
Beautiful bows!!!
Jack,
Bubinga was used in the Type II Grizzlys.
-
Colin,
Great looking collection! I have some of the same years and models. A couple others look familiar for some reason too. There are a lot worse things in life than getting bit by a Bear bug.
-
Jack,
I do need to thank you for a couple of these, including the K-mag I bought for myself but my wife has laid claim to.
Kenny:
She was giving free K-mag shooting lessons this evening. You should stop by one evening with yours and you guys can have a shoot out. I know where my bets will be if you both have K-mags in hand....
-
Hey Colin, if she is giving lessons sign me up. I think I have sixteen or seventeen K mags and can't shoot any of them very well.
-
Very nice looking collection of early Bears. Congrats!
