I bought an old Colt Arrowmaster recurve bow that is marked 66" 40 @ 28". On the front of the bottom limb there is a brown circle with a horse rearing up. Around that it is marked "COLTS PAT. FIRE ARMS MFG. CO.INC. Under that it is marked: HARTFORD , CONN USA. On the front of the top limb is a circle with COLT in it and under that is ARROWMASTER. The glass on the limbs is a mint green color and the riser loks like a dark walnut color. can anyonr tell me anything about this bow. Numbers on the side are: 0256-0135, then 66" and then 40# - 28". Any information you have would be appreciated. Thanks. JIM

Wing archery built bows for colt back in the day. Great bows. I have a couple and they shoot!

Back in the day I never likde Colt or Browning bows because I did not have confidence in bows made by firearms companies.
These bows have stood the test of time and proved me wrong.
As stated above, Colt bows were made by Wing Archery.
Brownings were designed and overseen by Harry Drake, one of the pioneers of recurve bows, and the absolute best in flight bows
The Targetsman above looks like an early model and looks to be in very good shape.
Good find.

The Colt Targetsman has the same decal on the upper limb with the exception that it has Arrowmaster in place of Targetmaster and the limbs are not white. The riser is also different, being more like an older version of a MA 111 one piece Black Widow.
Thanks everyone. JIM
