A friend of mine just picked up a doz Bear arrows from an auction and was wondering what sort of value they have and if they are collectable. He finally got me the specs so I told him I would ask around and see what I could find out.
Bear X300 serial# 99975
Length; 28"
Dia; 11/32"
Weight; 330gr
Spine; 4 1/2-5
Fletch; Hen feathers yellow and white, cock feather black and white.
Nock; Blue plastic
Cresting; white base, black black yellow black black blue black, repeated.
Heads; 1 doz field points, 1 doz green razorheads with bleeders. envelope with tool for bleeders and instructions.
Also contains small flyer with picture of Fred with a black bear and an advertisement for Razorheads, dated 1958.
Box and arrows are in excelent condition and he says may never have been used.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

could be worth 125.00 or more depending on a number of things. How about some pic's. The spine you have listed is kind of a funky number though and you might want to take a look at the box again.

Unfortunately I am getting the information over the phone. My friend is in PA and knows next to nothing about archery equipment, but can smell a deal a mile off. The box says for 50-55# bows, which would indicate spine to me. He then gave me the other numbers, which, like you, I thought sounded funky. I will see if he can take photo's and send them to me, so I can post.
