I just came across a bunch of old archery equipment and in this batch there are two Kodiak Special Deluxe bows, in great shape, one is 66" and 40# and the other is 66" 30#, a matching pair. The only flaw that I can see is the stress lines in the clear glass. Anyone have a clue as to their value?

Les, the stress cracks are in the finish if it is a cross the limbs and will not hurt the bow, i have refinished a couple of them and i really like the bows, as for price, it's any body's guess i would say $200/$250 give or take.
you have 2 fine bows IMO :archer2:

if the cracks are from edge to edge they would mostly be in the finish but if they are tip to tip they are nomally in the glass however I've never seen any problems with shooting them.
Above prices are pretty near what they would sell for today. However I have seen them sell in the $400.00 range pending alot on condition. Those are great both bows right there and one year production only bd

Thanks guys, the cracks run the long way down the limbs.

Great bows. Market value seems to be as stated above. I would not let go of mine for twice that. They are great shooters. Long, low weight, smooth as silk. Great way to spend an afternoon launching arrows in the backyard.

I have pics but am not familiar with posting them on this site. I have decided to sell both bows as a set, if possible, if anyone wants to see them, PM me your e-mail address. I also have lots of 1960s arrows, broadheads, quiver, etc. that I will also list for sale.
