I have 3 Groves Spitfire recurve bows that I would like to find the build date and any other information about. Since Groves closed their doors in 2003, I am unable to find any info. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your help, Dean

Dean,
I believe the folks would need some pictures to help you. Kinda hard to imagine what you have.

Thanks Reddogge, good point. I had to resize my pictures today, here goes nothing. This is the Magnum TD 2 piece.

Late 160's/early 1970's at the latest. The different glass colors helps date them since these were used at that time. Used to sell Groves bows during this time and they look like those I sold. Hunted with the two piece Magnum for several years back then. Have no idea how their serial numbers work if one can tell the year of manufacture or not. My guess is 1969 for the two piece, 1967 for the Mag I and gray Mag I I can't see seria number well enough to guess.
The bottom one with the gray glass is the most unusual I've seen. Don't think there are too many of those around these days.

Kelly, thanks for the information. The Magnum and the Magnum TD do look from the same era. The Mag I s/n is 2536 and it has a much different shaped riser and grip area as well.
Thanks again, Dean
