Post by: Bowferd on December 09, 2007, 01:10:00 AM
I have an older Talon longbow that pulls at 64#. I can no longer hold the wieght and would like to find a good Bowyer to chop it down to around 55#. Any help appriciated. I do not know of any local or would have already taken care of it( and I'm not qualified )

9 pounds is a lot to sand off a bow.  2-4 pounds is doable.  Chad

I agree with chad, Some Bowyers will tell you Average of 3#, Just Buy a new bow or see if someone will trade....

I've tried to trade and sell on this site with no luck. Might have to sell on another site. Thanks for the advice. Fred

Yup, unless it is like an Howard Hill bow with 4 or 5 thick lams than 9#s is not doable. Shawn

Bow Doc is around here somewhere---he is supposed to be the fixer. I suppose I ought to get his attention for you.

No worries--I'll help find the cat.
