The 1959 Bear Kodiak is probabably the most collectable of all vintage Bear Archery bows. Everyone seems to want them and prices for '59s clearly reflect that.
Even more desireable are heavy-draw-weight 1959 Bear Kodiaks.....like the bow just posted in the Classified (Traditional Bow) Section of this forum with LOTS OF PHOTOS. That all-original 1959 Kodiak draws 75 pounds (!) and is a superb example of the most vintage of all Bear Archery recurve bows.
Check it out.

I had a friend that was going to buy a 70# from another buddy. We took it to the archery range at the local archery shop to see how it shot. The third arrow through it blew it to hell and back. We really hated taking it back to the other buddy like that.

75# 1959 K is a nice bow; but now way I'd trade one of my MSW's for a regular 1959 unless there was a fair amount of cash included with the '59 regardless of#; unless I wanted to use 75# of course.
