I know that this probably isn't the place for this but.....Does anyone have an original brown sideplate with the horizontal lines on it that I can buy? Do you know where I can get one or do I have to settle for "almost looks like the original" that 3 Rivers sells? It is for a Grizzly. Thanks

The one from 3rivers is not leather. TRAP who posts on here can supply you with a leather sideplate that is a ringer for the original.

Thanks!

What is the 3 Rivers sideplate? Looks like leather? Clever how they do it. They call it a replica of the original leather sideplate. One would assume that meant it was leather.

The side plates that 3 Rivers sells with the Bear Hair rug,are a synthetic material with no lines. All the ones I have purchased from them with the lines, are leather. The most recent one I purchased was this past November. It is a '59 strikeplate and it is leather also.I have one each sitting here, the smaller one and the '59-both leather.

I just bought several from 3 Rivers for my 66 and 64 Kodiaks. They are leather and an exact replica of the originals as far as I can see.

I didn't even notice the "1959" sideplate when I checked the 3 Rivers site before. It is the one I want. Thanks for the help

That's it. The 1959. I believe it's leather and has the lines or grooves, whatever.
