I noticed some bowyers have Foam Core limbs. Can someone explain the benefits of this? I was just curious. Thanks for the advice.
Stability regardless of temperature. Consistency and smoothness of draw. Olympic shooters have been using them in their limbs for quite some time.
Thanks for the advice.
I have recently bought a bow with foam core limbs.
It is 65#, same as my old Bear Take down ( mag riser)
The Bear liked 2117's the new bow 2219's.
I suspect it's a bit quicker, lol.
I talked to Bob Morrison about the foam core limbs he is building He told me they are faster, quieter, smoother, and more forgiving. I will find out for myself in a few months.
Anybody know where a guy can get some of this foam in sheet form?

I would like to build a bow trying the foam in the limbs myself. Like to know to get info. on this??

I watched an olympic hopeful practicing with a bow that had the foam core. I was floored by how flat that 41lb. bow shot his arrows at the long shot. I wonder what the fps he was getting. I want a Hill style with the stuff.
BORDER HEX V limbs can be bought with a foam core, if not they have a mapple core.
