Title: Cracked limb. What to do?
Post by: DoubleJ1929 on December 25, 2009, 11:06:00 PM
I was given a beautiful Bob Lee Signature recurve today.  It is a take down; 60", 57#'s @ 28".  However the top limb is cracked.  New to trad gear just since Oct so not sure how to replace.  Call Bob Lee archery?  Replace just damaged limb or should I replace both?  Any advise will be appreciated.

If limb cannot be fixed then you will need to buy a set of limbs. Check out the Bob Lee web site he may have a set of limbs for sale. Their site can be found in the Trad Gang Sponsor List just above the Trad Gang store link

Where is it cracked?  Are you able to post pictures?

Thanks for the responses.  The limb is cracked through/across the limb side to side.  Looks like all laminated pieces are impacted.  Never posted a pic on here but will try tomorrow.

contact the folks at bob lee, they will be most helpfull. i'm sure they will tell you that if it can't be repaired that you would need to replace them as a set. good luck.

???  This post was moved here from the Pow Wow??  Is the bow likely that old?  Guess I should do some research to understand what I am working with.  Again, I am very new to all this trad equipment.
