Well, I got my Polar today. I traded for it with the intention of refinishing it, but other than a different grip and strike plate, I don't think it needs a full redo. Theres only a couple of spots I'm wondering about. First is a dent in the back of the lower limb. Looks to me like it's trough the finish, but not into the 'glass.

There's also some light dents?? on the belly of the upper limb.

Other than these two spots, lims are straight, tips are good, and finish is very good. There's the start of some slight stress lines, but nothing you can feel.

Here's a strung profile pic. Is this the normal profile?? Looks cool, but I've never seen a Polar strung before.

Thanks Ken! It's my second Bear, with the first being a 1958 Alaskan I found this past summer at a yard sale. Guess it's a sign, going to have to start collecting '58s.
