Title: What bow quiver am I looking for?
Post by: portugeejn on October 26, 2009, 09:01:00 PM
I have a really very nice 1957 Kodiak that I have a hankering to get a correct bow quiver for.  I am thinking a tape on leather top, as it doesn't have the bushing in the handle and I'm not inclined to mess with the bow as it is in such good shape.  What am I looking for?

Thanks Nick!  Now to find one that is in as good condition as the bow.  I know where I can get some of that "old fashioned" cloth electrical tape.

I would guess some black hockey tape would also be adequate.

Search some old threads here Ron and check out some of the other attachment methods of the tape-on. I am using 1"-wide strips of bicycle innertube to 'tape' mine on and it seems to work great without gumming up my bow.

I wrap them around the quiver mounts and tuck the innertube ends under the last wrap.

If you go to a medical supply store they sell rolls of blood pressure rubber tape which works perfectly with any strap on attachment ... leaving no marks and holds really well.
