I'm hit and miss on Uncle Ted, but the TV was on the Outdoor Channel in the background as I was just scrolling through these threads. He mentioned killing a Cape Buff in the 70's with a Razorhead, which led him to show off a bucket-full of old ones. He had maybe 30 green ones, a Howard Hill, and a few others I can't remember. He was showing the chisel point and filed it on a green one to explain it. Wasn't anything grand or exciting, but kind of neat to have someone on the Outdoor Channel talking about old greenies as I was on the Collecting forum.

He also said his dad, who owned an archery shop, sold Fred Bear the spring steel to make the bleeder blades. Which, ironically enough, he said he never uses to get better penetration!

What you may not have noticed was him calling a Pearson "Switchblade" a "Deadhead" and he called a Magnus I a Zwickey Eskimo.
When Magnus made the "Whackmaster" broadhead for him Ted insisted that his personal heads be sharp out of the package.
Not sure I'd look to him for sharpening advice.
He also claimed responsibility for the "Diamond Point" on the Magnus Stinger. I know that's bull. (it was my concept and name)

You've seen it too huh?! Yes he did do all of that, and I forgot about that self-credit for the Magnus point. As I said, I'm hit and miss on him, and I sure didn't rule his commments over those I read on here!

Just to be clear... the Stinger broadhead wasn't my idea. The Diamond tip was.
The Stinger is a great "little" broadhead. ;)

Considering how many were into drugs, at least Ted did not go down that road.
