Title: bear bow age help?

how can i find out how old this bow is?its a bear bearcat.says canada 1953.km20544

no sorry. my dad got it when he was 10 and now is 50 so its at least 40

Kasey,
Your Bearcat from what information you provided should date from 1970-1972.You didnt mention it but if I'm correct the coin is flush with the wood also. The 'K" series started in 1970 and continue throughabout 1978 I believe. the "Canada 1953 Patent date was discontinue in 1972. At the end of 1972 the coins were raised plastic.There maybe other features that may help clairify it more but without pics that gets you pretty close. Hope this helps...
