Good Evening All,
I have a bow that I was going to completely refinish but have now decided to just paint. I'm not that creative and was interested if anyone might want to share what they have done besides the standard flat black.
Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas!

Here is a bow a good buddy just finished (not a great picture). He was going for a desert camo sort of deal, I think he did a good job. It's still a little shiney, he is not done with the finish job. After a few more coats he will buff it with steel wool to dull the gloss.

Steve,
Sorry this took so long, but here are my paint jobs on my Mahaska recurves.

LOL...
Do you really need the camo for frog hunting?

Bill Stewart Signature Hunter T/D with Falk custom camo in 'normal view' and 'critter view'.
This is my back-up bow, but my Custom Kodiak T/D is painted just like that. Arcylic paint BTW.
Before painting I checked the different colors would also be different when viewed in gray scale mode. Thus I made sure I had high contrasts even then and no 'blocking'

Bucky,
Tell me about those Mahaska Recurves. How well do shoot?
Doug, they are smooth and super quiet.I've had the one for 11 years and the other for 4.They don't take fastflight only B-50.They are a little spine picky because they are cut before center.I shoot aluminum but have tried carbon with great results.Anything else just ask,George
Here is one I did about 9 months ago. I cant remember who it was but someone here posted how they had done it. It was pretty easy following there directions.I used the Krylon camo spray you get from walmart.

It's good to see I'm not the only one who paint's my bows.Usually I get killed by the trad police for doing this.
Bucky that is my idea of good camoflage. Nice bows.
