Went to the P.O. and had two slips for packages, lo and behold my 1962 Kodiak from bowdoc and my 1962 Kodiak Special from Steve Smith were there.
The 62 Kodiak is pristine and Don did a refinish on her since the old finish was very thin and I live in a wet climate. She is beautiful, 60",50#@28". I have been looking for a 60# 62 and this is all I could find. She'll do for now. Zero stress.
The 62 KS is also a very nice bow and at 66" and 55#@28 should be a real shooter and is a bit rare to find one in this weight. As soon as bowdoc is back from his hunting trip I will be sending her to him for a refinish. Zero stress in this one too.
I will post some pics in a day or two, gotta find a proper strike plate and decide if I want to put a feather rest or rug on the 62 Kodiak.
By the way, anyone know the proper brace on a 60" 62K?

Danny,
My 60-inch 1962 Kodiak seems to shoot best right at or just slighly under 8 inches. Great shooting bows, those '61 and '62 Kodiaks.

Danny that KS is a looker, if it's the same one Steve had at ATAR. I fondled her a bit but my shoulder wouldn't let me shoot 'er.
Very nice Rosewood if I remember correctly.

Yeah Kenny that is the one. Shot her some today and it seems to prefer my Microflite #11, gonna try some AD trads through her also. Good shooter and really pounds the target for a 55# bow,few dings in the riser but bowdoc will have her fit for the prom once I send her to him for refinish.
