Title: 63 Dogleg
Post by: snufer on September 08, 2009, 08:27:00 AM
Just wondering haw many models the 63 Dogleg was made in, and were there different size risers for each model? I have a Kodiak and a Magnum and would like to have all models that were made.

The Cub, 3 types of Kodiak Magnum, 2 types of Grizzly, and the Kodiak. All were unique. CKruse

Type 1 & 2 Magnums are getting kind of pricy! Still would like to pick up a Grizzly and a Cub.

Ken - Hope this clarifies any questions you may have on the Initial Working Draft of the Grizzly Identification Thread...

Since starting it late last month, I have been negligent in working on it to make it more complete... a little hunting has been getting in the way of collecting related activities...

Just edited it and added a less than perfect composite photograph to help explain the previously naked text on the first page of the thread...

Working Recurve, 62”

1958 – Pale Green Glass on Back & Belly. Maple Riser
1959 – Pea Green Glass Back, Carmel Glass Belly, 2 Dark Chevrons in Riser Below Thin Leather Grip
1960 – Pea Green Glass Back, Carmel Glass Belly, 1 Dark Chevron in Riser Below Fat Leather Grip
1961 – Camo Riser & Limbs
1962 – White Glass Back & Belly
1963 – Aqua Glass, Dogleg Riser Angled Back
 . . . .  – Aqua Glass, Dogleg Riser Curved Back

Sorry for the composite photograph, it will be replaced later (61 & 62 catalog bows and the two 1963s were taken from Roy's photograph)

Halfway through the 50th Anniversary of the Doglegs - time to get 'em out for the Fall.
