I recently picked up a ugly green striper with lots of holes. May end up trying to get it fixed but was wondering if Bear ever made any factory camo takedowns. I may fill the holes and try to copy the camo pattern. Any pictures out there?

Good to see you posting here Gary. Welcome.
You'll have to share that 59 Kodiak collection with us when you get back here.
Sorry, I don't have any info on camo TDs.
Just thought I'd say hello.

Thanks Trap, Looks like it will be mid October. I plan to show them later this fall.

I remember seeing a black takedown at the Gainsville plant in 1987. I was there to tour the plant and Fred Bear Mus. I am sure of the year. I still have the tee shirt and the baggie it was put in when I bought it.

There were several of the Gainsville takedown bows done in the same factory camo as the Kodiak. I thought I'd saved a picture of one, but can't locate it. CKruse

Welcome Gary.
Great to see you here.
Do you need limbs for that holy riser?
-
My dad had a factory takedown with built in sights. He ordered it new...I am reasonably certain it was a Grayling bow. Maybe he can remember the year. I'd pay a lot of money for that bow now.

There is a set of Factory Camo #3 Red tips on the auction sight right now, Probably the first Graylings I have seen

I saw those limbs and some other bows that came with factory camo. Most look about the same. Somebody has got to have one somewhere.

Gary,
More recently, in 1996, Bear Archery did offer and catalog a factory-camo Fred Bear Take-Down. Here's the page from the 1996 Bear catalog. The "camo" pattern was a simple OD green, which actually looked quite good with the riser's black hardware.

What does your bow look like? Any chance you can post a photo?

That's what I was looking for. Thanks
I will try to post a picture this afternoon. Gary

If I had your holy bow, I would fill the holes with epoxy and have a really cool film dipped camo finish applied.

Now that is pretty cool. And not a bad price.

Gary,
Came across this pic today. First one I've seen. Don't know if it's "too little-too late", but I think it's what you were originally looking for.

Thanks, That is what I was looking for. Going to try on the handle and limbs I have.
