Hello Guys, I just wanted to share some photo's with you..Of an arrow I was told was one of H.Hill's I got this arrow from a good friend who knew Howard and I know that for a fact that he did.. But Still dose not mean it could be one of Hill's arrows.. With out a photo of it and Howard.. or a later talking about this arrow.. But maybe some one could tell me what they think from the photo's.. I do know that Howard made all kinds if arrows. But I will let you guys look at the photo's and maybe I can get some help...

Cody, it would be hard to tell from the pictures, but Howard Hill did drag a file across the blade to put a similar burr edge. He like the barbed heads (not approved in many states), and he had broadheads riveted. Rivets were used because older heads were parallel ferrules. This one is stamped with his name, and appears to be newer version. Does it look like the barb was made by cutting out the back of the head? It looks to be cut off. Shafts were usually tapered about 10". He used Mid-nocks for long time. Hugh Rich made arrows for Hill for long time in his shop in Ca. Hud, Thnaks for the post.. It dose look like the back of the blade was cut to make the bard head.... I tryed to get photo's but they didn't come out to good same with the nock photo..

The ferrule also looks longer in relation to the back of the barb. Is the width 1 1/8" or 1 1/4"? Are the blades 3 3/16" long on the outer edge, or are they shorter, like they were trimmed? Is the outside diameter of the ferrule 3/8"? If you have any heads from Howard Hill Archery, you might be able to tell if there are any differences. Does the shaft appear to be tapered going into the ferrule?

Hud, I can't tell if the shaft is tapered going into the ferrule.. But Some thing I forgot to post was that there is a Taper going to the nock end of the arrow going from looks to be 11/32 ??( maybe ) or something down to about 5/16 at the nock... I was thinking that Mr.Hill at one time shot Tapered arrows ?...

Re; your master list #0681 this was made in 1958 by Howard Hill Productions. You should also be able to find a pic in Wade's book. I believe you have a copy?
