I would like to find some endless loop strings for my '59 Grizzly. Were the originals white b50 or something else?

Anyone?

Might check with Bearbowman.

Kenny- it seems to me that the original string was white dacron with black serving- Bear started using some color like the old salmon color with green serving later in the sixties. I'm about to replace my string jig and if you haven't found anything by then I don't mind building you a couple- I prefer endless loop strings myself. Grant

Hey Kenny did you by any chance change the tip overlays on the 1959 Grizzly. The original paper tip overlays will not last long with the endless loop do to the fact the loop serveing is about like a fine file againest the paper tip overlays while shooting ??? Just asking bd

I did not change them Doc. It came from Norm with an endless loop string and that's what I've been shooting.
Do you have material I can buy from you to change them or should I contact Kurt?
I was trying to keep this bow all original, but I like shooting it so well I want to keep it functional as well as looking good.

Wade just had a whole pile of strings.

Thanks Ron. I sent him a PM.

I bought a Grizzly once that looked brand spanking new. It had what I'm pretty sure was the original string on it.
White dacron and red loops and center serving.

Will black and white Phenolic work to replace the tip overlays?
I'm sure my bowyer friend has some laying around. He uses it for riser accents.
