Chris, Nice looking riser. Hard to read the numbers. You can make the photographs up to 640 wide.

I was going to guess that you found a Signature Bow with an even 200 or 300 serial number on it as I know that at one time Al had # 100.

Reversed colors on the riser. Coin side almost looks like curly maple?
-
Its a reverse wood type 2 B handle
It has beautiful tiger maple in the black futurewood. The handle just glows. My pics do not do it justice.Normally the handles where light wood in the center grip section and black on the ends. Al had one of these in his display and its the only one he new about. There may be others but at the very least it is very unique.I was very excited when I pulled this out of the case.

It was origional ,could be curly?
-
I believe its tiger maple used in the black handle section , its on both sides . wish the pics were better

Wow Abear!
You can just see the glow you are referring to...must be awesome in person in the right light!
Congrats on the find.

Super find Chris.
I don't really know curly from tiger maple, it just looked it had some really different grain. I've never been able to capture that type of almost translucent grain with a camera lens.

Very nice! I love the reverse wood B! Great find!

I was fortunate enough to see that riser in person. Beautiful!!
Was nice meeting you Chris. That is an amazing collection of "A"'s you have too!

It was alot of fun sharing in Chris' excitement finding the two risers on the hill.We all had a very prosperous year finding the new "gotta have" bows. There was no way a little rain and alot of mud was going to put a damper our good time.

Tiger maple and curly maple are actually the same, just called by different names. The correct term for the grain configuration is "fiddleback"....don't ask me why.....but that's what it is. Some think it's formed by compression in the tree as it sways in the wind.
The tighter (closer together) the grain the more desirable. Fiddleback is found in oak, hickory, and other hard woods as well....

Wow ABear,
Gorgeous woood in that reversed riser! :notworthy: What an eye-popping  collection of T/D risers you have!
(No wonder us less fortunate boys can't find one!) :banghead: LOL
Pretty cool Charlie Kroll signed that EXP as well. Congrats on landing a couple of awesome Denton trophys! :clapper:
