I have been shooting Micro-Flite arrows since the 60's and I love them! They are getting very hard to find. Looking for size 5's anything over 27" long. These are great arrows for people like me that are fighting with Target Panic. They stand up well under hard misses

Mike, can you share the spine numbering system with us, I've come across them on the classifieds and the auction site but never knew what they spined. I've heard similar testimonials to yours and I wouldn't mind trying them out myself.

Thanks Mike!

The only ones I have left are broken ones hanging up in the deer antlers in the basement. I do have 2 DuraFlight 8s left intact which I shoot in the backyard.

About the only thing that will damage a microflite is side slapping a tree, or hard surface.
That is when the point just slightly hits the side of a tree and glances off. In doing so, the side of the shaft "slaps" the side of the dree very hard. This will break the shaft. Yhis type of shot may bend an alluminum shaft but if it doesn;t dent it, it can be straightened.
Fiberglass arrows are tough and can last a ong time if you can keep them away from side slappin'.

I like mine also.

Microflites are good shafts. If they are straight they seem to stay straight until broken. Last year I gave a friend several dozen 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9s. Thought I kept one of each, but did not see a 6 in the box. If you need heavier spine shaft than shown on the chart, some smaller sizes fit inside some larger sizes, a 4 fits in a 10, etc.
The 12s are like logs. My Dad shot them for years using 75#. Tremendous arrow out of a heavy bow.

Sometime in the 1960s, I also remember hearing something about Special Order Mircoflites 13 and 14, but don't recall ever seeing one. Not sure they were made, may have just been talk to see if there was enough interest to make them.
Have you ever seen a 13 or 14?
Guess this would be the Zero, "0"...
Don't recall seeing it on a Microflite chart...

Checked another box marked Microflite, and found 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10s... so added the 6 and replaced a some others with clearer markings, then retook yesterdays 1-12 photograph that was missing the 6...

Hey Wade...
Someday you'll have to write a paragraph about the things you DON'T have!! :notworthy:
>>--Ron--<>
-
Ron - You are too funny, a paragraph.
Hey it would take writing a set of encyclopedias to document all the things that I don't have.
One thing I don't have anymore is an extra Bear Knife, File and Stone set that you told me last week that you are looking for. I traded my last extra off last month at Compton. There were several other sets at Compton too, all seemed to be priced at $450, but don't know if any of them sold. I felt kind of guilty placing half that amount on mine for a trade value for a metal horn nock.
If you want the phone numbers of the guys with those Knife, File and Stone sets, I'd be happy to give them to you.
-
Ron I just finished digging in my potato patch for an hour or so & dug up these arrows. The yellow arrows Microflight #6--1 dozen----The dark brown arrows are fiberglass -dark brown #8--10 arrows.

Wade,I also got this tube full of arrows.Krohns archery,Ypsilanti Mi.I forgot I had them.Just thought I'd flip a pic. on.
-
Rick - That is a an exceptional arrow tube with the Krohn's Archery Tackle Mfg. Co. label on it. I have some of Cliff Krohn's bows, his fish points, and one of his personal hunting arrows that he signed.
Cliff's arrow does not have any marking with his company name on it. Have you ever seen a Krohn arrow with a water transfer decal, an ink stamp, or a brand on it?
I have quite a few 1920s to 1950s wooden arrows that are marked with decals, ink stamps or brands and always looking for ones I don't have.
There isn't much interest in collecting old marked arrows, and no really good reference documentation is available listing all of those old 1920s to 1950s wood arrows that were made with the manufacturer's markings.
It may be time to start a thread about the old 1920s to 1950s marked arrows. I'm sure we would all learn a lot about the arrows that were produced during that golden era of archery.
-
I think that would be very interesting.
-
Wade,I really dont know what I have bottled up here.Hundred & hundreds of arrows out in the shed.I started tearing thru them last night trying to find some micro flight arrows & discovered some interesting stuff.I have an arrow tube somewhere that is marked Compton from Indiana,If memory serves me.Getting ready to head out to a couple of flea Mkts this morn. Looking for treasures.
-
If anyone out there is interested in the micro flight arrows above I would be interested in trading for some Bear arrows or something.
-
Mike, I have 17 # 5's that are in good shape but need re-fletching. Don't have a use for them if you want to trade something. also have a dozen #2's some 8's, 6's and 9's.

I have some 6s or 9s??? can't tell which way are you supposed to read the number? I have a dozen brand new in the box Made in 1975(birth year)all with brand new razorheads adn bleeders. supposedly from Sweetlands archery in CA? not sure on that but they are sweet shafts, just can't figure out if they are 6s or 9s.
any help would be apreciated
-
Dustin you should be able to tell if the shafts say Microflite. The number will be directly behind them. Reference Wade's pic earlier in this thread.
