i finally got the bow of my dreams. this is an all original mint condition bear A handle TD with 55# number 2 limbs i believe (58inches on an A riser). i got this bow from my good friend in oregon. this is the 2nd bear td i bought off of him and i cant thank him enough for the great deals he made me. this bow is just perfect in every way. there is just something about these bear take downs! enjoy the pics fellas! justin

WOW! Nice!
If possible can you show a pic assembled and strung so we can see the curves?
What year would you say this bow was built? 1970-72ish?

Beautiful Bow! I know how you feel I just picked up a B riser Type One in mint condition but only the riser I'm a bit jealous of your complete bow. I think it's going to take me some time to find the right limbs. Enjoy shooting it.

Congratulations Newell- I shoot a couple of old B risers myself and always loved the A risers. I still have one magnesium but my son is currently using it. You are right about the limb riser configuration A+@==58 inches. Congratulations again, Grant

Congrats Justin, and thanks for sharing the pics.I fine gentleman from California offered me a LH one, riser only,so I am waiting mine too.I'll post some pics as I'll get it.What serial #is yours? I am happy for you,do you plan to use it? Remember to let us know your impression as you'll try it.Felix

the serial number is A-1490 and i have shot the bow and its deadly accurate and fast. im not sure if im going to hunt with it once or twice this season.
-
faster than my green stripe with gainseville limbs i should say!
-
newelly about time.I just picked one up yesterday myself. Not nearly as clean as yours but a shooter for sure.Great hit brother.bd

Great looking first year A riser. They have long been my favorites of Fred's Risers. Great shooting too and have lots of flexibility with different limbs. The A is ideal for packing in luggage for those plane trips.
Speaking from experience, I have only ever found one bad thing about the first year A Risers... once you own your first one, you will want more!
-
Newelly; it took you awhile but great job. I'm sure it will serve you well................Shick
