What is the correct coin, rest and strike plate for a 59 Polar.
Thanks Terry
-
My 59' catalog shows a feather rest without a strike plate
-
Thanks 450 do you know if it had a copper coin.

I think it could have had copper, nickel or aluminum. All correct for that period.

Reading another post Doc said that 59 polar had brass coin. This shows no signs of a leather grip so I take it that they didn't have one.The Polar is 64"-45#.can anyone tell what woods are in the side slabs and ibeam.
Thanks Terry

Ahhh the under-loved '59 polar. That is just gorgeous!
Here is my coin if it helps, obviously my riser isn't in as good a shape as yours!:

And here is the rest side, as it arrived, which I believe to be original condition, no plate:

I've yet to see a '59 Polar with the copper coin.

I've never seen a 59 Bear bow with a brass coin either. I'd think copper would at least be a possibility since there were copper coins around at the time.
