Title: Year for Super Kodiak with no glass overlays

I just bought the Super Kodiak Blue Stripe that Bearbowman had for sale. The serial number is KZ26278. This bow does not have the usual glass overlays on the front of the handle. They used a strip of blue colored wood with a strip of the same wood as the handle as overlays. Does anyone know what year they did this? I was just curious because I have not seen to many Super Kodiaks without the glass on the front of the handle.
  Just curious and trying to learn something.

1976 would be my guess.

I always liked the futurewood overlays. They are also on the super mag, kodiak mag, and kodiak hunter in 1976.

1976 blue overlays on the back of the riser and on the tips. They shoot nice. Last of the Grayling Super K's. Good luck.  :thumbsup:
