Title: Bear serial # ?

I have a Bear Kodiak Special, 68" 52# with the serial # XP622.  Any idea what year it is?

1955 - 1960 I believe were available in 68", the guys will need some pictures to give a positive year on it though

Thanks 450  I rea that the first number in the serial number was the year making it a 1956

That "first number in the serial number" to denote year ONLY works for bows made from 1965-69.

as BH mentioned 1965 66 67 68 & 69 are the only year you could ID the year by the serial #. Would it be possible for you to load a couple pics ??? bowdoc
