I know that this will sound like a dumb question, but what do I use to polish/shine up an old Bear KM? I just bought one on "the other auction site" and when it gets here I want to give it a nice polishing before I give it to my wife. Will regular furniture polish like Pledge do the trick or do I need something else?
Thanks guys. I'll post some pixs of it when it gets here.

Larry, Congrats on the new bow! In reading the posts here in Trad History I tried just regular old car paste wax with great results. I just cleaned up the bows and waxed them and they look super. Lots of smart ideas are certain to follow. Good Luck!

I love this site!!! Six minutes and two answers already.

Since I have some on hand, I use car polish swirl remover. And the arrows seem to fly faster once it’s all polished.

TR3 car polish for me

I also like the car wax for a particulary grubby area, light pressure with some 0000 steel wool with the car wax will replace the elbow grease.

Larry- Bowdoc brews up a polish-not a wax-that works great. One little bottle has lasted well over a year for me and my little arsenal. It's the best stuff I've used but I've had good results with some of the other recommendations as well and they may be more available on short notice. Grant
