Title: Would You Refinish a Shultz Longbow?
Post by: SpankyNeal on April 15, 2009, 03:51:00 PM
Guy's I just got my new to me Shultz, and have a question. Someone removed the name of the person the bow was originally built for, but left John's signature. The bow also has just a few stress cracks in the finish only on both limbs. Would it hurt the value of the bow, and would you have this bow professionally refinished by Droptine or Bowdoc or possibly David Miller since he was one of John's students, and possibly leave John's signature on the bow? You can see the area in the pic below. Your thoughts and opinions are most appreciated!

Thanks...Ken

Ken, your best bet is to just send it to me and let me make that choice and you won't have to worry about it anymore. HA HA. Send it to David he would love to work on it and leave Johns sig for sure. Flint
