Title: How should I fix my green Kodiak??

I been using my old Kodiak for spring bear hunting so have been shooting it a lot lately..

  It has had this nick in it for so long I have forgotten how it got there,but haven't shot it much over the years...

 Now I think it may be getting worse (or maybe not) but I should do something...

Looking for ideas...

Dang I hope not...The picture makes it look worse than it is..I have to search for it as it is not that noticeable,but I don't want it to get worse...

Its a 55# and a dang good shooter...That nick has been there forever,but I have been shooting it a lot more lately..

If it was mine, I would probably do as Kurt has mentioned, but would try and keep the 420 from going all over the place. (I think one drop will cover a small plate.) I would try and mask the back with clear tape and make sure it is on tight, leaving the edge open. Then try and inject the stuff into the cracks, After it is set (over night at least), I'd remove the tape and hope for the best.
With luck it won't wick all over the limb, and only a little touch up around the area, to include feathering any edges in the original damage to keep any of it snagging.
Then give it a shot of your favorite clear rattle can or rub on finish, and it should be good to go.

I would sand those splinters on the edge back just a tiny bit and then hit them with some LT 420 about 3 times real thin maybe one drop each time..That will help prevent run-over..The crack just below the splinter will also need a little injection..keep us posted bowdoc

OK guys...I am as happy as all get out...Its not perfect,but the splinters are gone and she shoots like a dream...Thanks for the help...It took a while,but spring bear season is on and a guy can only do so much...
